        Why water treatment is required for boiler recycling?

        Due to the high combustion temperature of oil and gas. And most of the oil and gas boilers (especially imported oil and gas boilers) are small in size, compact in structure and high in water quality requirements. If the water treatment is not done well, it will cause scale and corrosion of the boiler, which not only wastes fuel but also easily It will cause accidents such as pipe blockage and tube explosion, and will also cause the biggest economic loss of boiler scrapping in severe cases. Therefore, oil and natural gas boilers must carefully handle boiler water treatment.


        Basic knowledge of boiler water


        I. Harmful impurities in natural water and the purpose of boiler water treatment


        There are often a large number of impurities in natural water. Among them, the main factors affecting the boiler are: suspended materials, colloidal materials and dissolved materials.


        Suspended matter and cavity matter are composed of mud and sand, animal and plant remains, and some low-molecular aggregates, which are the main factors that make water turbid. If these impurities enter the ion exchanger, they will contaminate the exchange resin and affect the quality of the effluent. {If they enter the boiler directly, they will easily deteriorate the quality of the steam, and they will easily deposit into mud, block the pipes, and cause the metal to be damaged by overheating. Suspended matter and colloidal materials can be removed by pretreatment methods.


        Dissolved substances mainly refer to salts and certain gases dissolved in water. Natural water, even tap water that looks very pure, contains various dissolved salts, including calcium and magnesium salts. That is, the hardness material is the main source of boiler fouling. Because scale is extremely harmful to the boiler, removing the hardness and preventing scaling is the most important task of boiler water treatment, which can be achieved by chemical treatment outside the pot or dosing in the pot.


        In the dissolved gas, oxygen and carbon dioxide are the main factors that affect the fuel gas boiler equipment. They will cause oxygen corrosion and acid corrosion to the boiler. At the same time, oxygen and hydrogen ions are a more effective depolarizing agent, which will accelerate electrochemical corrosion. The progress of corrosion is one of the important factors of boiler corrosion. Dissolved oxygen can be removed by a deaerator or adding reducing drugs. For carbon dioxide, as long as the pot water is maintained at a certain pH and alkalinity, its effects can be eliminated.


        In addition, the alkalinity in the water source is high in some areas. After the fuel gas boiler is heated and concentrated, the alkalinity of the boiler water will become higher and higher. After reaching a certain concentration, it will foam on the evaporation surface and affect the steam quality. Under the conditions, too high alkalinity can also cause caustic embrittlement and other basic corrosion at the site of stress concentration. Therefore, the alkalinity-reducing treatment is required for water with higher alkalinity. In addition, the content of dissolved solids is too high, which will also affect the quality of steam, and even cause the co-transpiration of steam and water in severe cases. It should be controlled through reasonable drainage.


        In short, the purpose of boiler water treatment is to remove harmful impurities, prevent boiler scaling and corrosion, maintain good steam quality, and ensure safe and economical operation of the boiler.
